- - - - Grammar detective: Students will be given a similar challenge as station 1 that is a bit more simplified.
        They will also be given additional work for review and practice.
        
        Student proved to be weaker in some areas than originally thought based on the activity and will be moved to station 3 for a refresher and review of weaker areas
        
        Student is showing progression after station two and might move to station 1's next activity.
        
        It's too early to tell and student might need to repeat with similar activity in a similar station.

        -Nearpod for interactive activities
        -Newsly for differentiated curriculum and tracking

- - - - Detective work: Students will be challenged and given pages from a book where there are grammar and spelling errors. They will have to be detectives and find the errors.
        They will also have to write a letter to the author explaining how they felt about the story and why

      - The activity was challenging enough and it's too early to consider them gifted in their stronger areas at this stage.

      - The activity was too challenging for them and they struggled with certain language arts criteria that suggests they may need to spend a bit of time strengthening their base knowledge in weaker areas. Can move to station 2 for a refresher for next activity.
      - Based on the outcome of this activity the student went above and beyond the activity easily. It is obvious the student is gifted and might need to be considered for higher levels of language arts learning.
      - Differentiation through technology:
        -Newsly platform activities for more challenging activities and measurement of knowledge/abilities
- - - - Students at this table will be given flashcards, simple worksheets and games to re-teach parts of language arts that they don't know. An additional screening may be given to students who are at risk learning for additional support recommendation.
        
        Improvement showed after flash card activity games and review was completed. Students confidently completed the simple worksheet and activities and showed they are able to move to station three to practice concepts they had forgotten.
        
        Students have not shown any improvement and the outcome of the activities reflect that they need additional screening for risk assessment and additional support.
        
        It's too early to tell and student might need to repeat with a similar activity in a similar station for following activity.

        Strategies for Support:
        
        Re-word the text of the reading assignment in simple phrases
        
        Write hints or reminders in text
        
        Use real life experiences when discussing the reading material
        
        Have the work or tests read orally
        
        Pair ELL students with other ELL's
        
        Use manipulatives or hands-on aids
        
        Use tape recorder to play books on tape
        
        Provide native language support to the student in the classroom
        
        Explicitly teach study skills/habits, as well as effective ways of using educational resources and materials
        
        Use the student's name in instructional examples
        
        Break work down into smaller pieces and do task analysis
        
        Provide visuals to support academic work
        
        Encourage re-reading to task/instructions
        
        Provide more time to finish assignments/test
        
        Have students use a 3x5 Index card to cover the lines above or below while reading materials or taking tests.
        
        Pair the english learner with a gifted or older same language student in tutorial situations
- - - - Students will review and practice. They will be given a similar detective worksheet as station 2 and 1 but much more simplified. They will not have to find the grammar errors in their worksheet but will have to fill in the blanks with the missing parts. They will continue to review and practice on nearpod or newsly,
        
        Students are showing much improvement from the outcome of these activities and might move to station 2 for some challenge along with continual review and practice in their weaker areas.
        
        Students are showing some improvement from these exercises but might need additional time to practice and review their weaker areas. Might consider station 4 because they are weaker than originally thought.
