Fostering learner autonomy in English for science: A Collabrative digital video project in a technological learning environment. Christoph A. Hafner
Introduction: the development of Information and Communication Technologies (ICTs) created new literacy practices in education (O'Reilly, 2005), besides they gave opportunities for the autonomus language learning (Benson & Chik, 2010).
The research was done in order to evaluate the role of technological environment in the potential of students' taking control of their learning
Autonomy in language learning is taking more control in learning (Holec,1988) and encouraging students to participate in their learning more fully (Miller, 2009)
Classroom based pedagogical approach encourages students autonomy in learning within the social context (Breen, 1986).
the best example of Classroom based approach is project-based work which is reported by authors Dam (1995) and Beckett and Slater (2005)
