Mary Debenham
Mary Debenham is a calm, cool and unruffled lady, Poirot is most suspicious of Mary because of conversation he overhears between herself and Colonel Arbuthnot on the train to Stamboul.
Colonel Arbuthnott
A friend of Colonel Armstrong, and father of Daisy Armstrong. Like Mary Debenham, Poirot suspects him because he called Mary by her first name on the train to Stamboul. Colonel Arbuthnot is hard-willed, polite and very "English."
Héctor MacQueen
Ratchett's personal secretary. Hector is truly in cahoots with the Armstrong family.

M Harris
Harris is an Englishman who was supposed to board the Orient Express. However, the train was full and Hercule Poirot needed a room, so, as M. Harris was late, M. Poirot took his room.
Mrs. Hubbard
famous actress and grandmother of Daisy Armstrong. Mrs. Hubbard provides constant interruption and diversion on the train and is known for her stories about her daughter.
Poirot Hercule
He was barely over five feet four inches, but he handled himself with great dignity. His head was exactly the shape of an egg and he always tilted it slightly to one side. His mustache was very stiff and military.

He is the director of La Compagnie Internationale des Wagons-Lits. He is a friend and compatriot of Hercules Poirot. He is a "short, heavyset, elderly man" with "brosse cut" hair. He gave his apartment to Hercules Poirot
Michel (the wagon lit conductor, he works on the train)
Pierre Michel was the conductor on board the Orient Express train during the time the murder of Samuel Edward Ratchett took place. He was also the father of Susanne Michel, who would become the nursemaid of the Armstrong Family in America.
