AGE
Younger people in the workplace are always looked down upon and thought to be inferior. Their ideas may not even be heard just because they don't have the "experience" that an older employee may have. This would apply to graduate jobs as well as student employees.
GENDER
Women are scared to voice their opinions in a male dominated workplace environment. This is due to the stereotyping the society has placed on women. Women believe that they are not capable of performing tasks better than men even if they are more qualified.
SEXUALITY
Non-disclosure of the employee's sexuality has a negative impact in the workplace. They face many challenges that range from being forced to remain closeted to actual job dismissal.

RACIAL
Different racial employees may sometimes be victims of racial discrimination. This is where they may be ridiculed because of their skin colour and their ideas not taken into consideration.
PHYSICAL APPEARANCE
Physical appearance has a great impact in the workplace. This is because especially for women there is the challenge of body shaming. For men, the challenge faced is that they need to be appropriately dressed , if not then they can not be taken seriously.
DISADVANTAGES
Miscommunication
Creation of barriers.
Makes it difficult for some cultures to be heard.
Different understanding between the different cultures.
Could lead to possible slowing down of work.
EDUCATIONAL BACKGROUND
Qualifications gained by the employee makes a huge impact on the inputs made. Employees with a rather basic degree will also be looked down upon. Employees that have specialised in a particular field will receive the respect that every employee deserves.
