- - - - There are two prisoners that were convicted of being partners in crime. They are put in separate places and are given the same choice, which is to remain silent against their accomplice. The other option is to betray their accomplice, without knowing what their accomplice is going to do.
      - There are different punishments for different outcomes.
    - - The kids were split into pairs, as I said. They were given the same options and their punishments were doing the dishes, for difererent amount of time. If both teams chose option A, which was to remain silent, then everyone had to help with dishes for the rest of the day. And, if both chose option B, they all had to do dishes for the rest of the week.
      - The third option was if one team remained silent and the other chose the betrayal option, then the team who chose betrayals would not have to do the dishes and the team that chose the silent option had to do the dishes for the week, just that team.
      - They made up a third option: Option C, which was that they escaped and tricked the guard. So, they didn't have to do any dishes!
    - - The prisoner's dilemma is exactly what happened, it just happened right in the beginning.
      - In the exercise, the kids split into pairs, and were put into separate rooms.
  - - - He brought fake documents saying that Constance was his daughter.
      - He made everyone really upset.
    - - She wanted to be adopted by Mr. Benedict.
      - And, Mr. Benedict could tell that they were forgeries, though very clever ones.
    - - Without going into a ton of detail, we learn that Constance was an orphan.
      - from the very beginning Mr. Curtan was trying to get her into his school
- - - - Mr. Benedict had fallen asleep and traffic was so slow, the Sentries had to get out to clear the way and that's how the kids were able to escape.
      - They didn't have room for everyone at once, so the first passengers were Mr. Benedict and the Society, minus Constance, whom they still couldn't find.
    - - They were in the car to go to the secret place when Rainy figured out the riddle.
      - They did not ever go to the Secret place because they got out of the car to go save Constance instead.
    - - The kids were safe because they had hidden and Milligan knew exactly where to find them and he brought them back.
      - The Ten Men are very dangerous, so the outcome could have been much worse.
  - - - She told her friends who were in the room with her and then she ran to tell the guards, as her friends went down the stairs.
      - Kate had a hard time trying to convince the Whisperer guards but she managed to do that and get down the stairs to tell the house guards before her friends even made it down the stairs.
    - - Mr. Benedict also owned this house.
      - The cellar concealed the entrance to a secret passageway.
    - - Very quickly after, Milligan showed up in a police car he had taken.
      - The Ten Men loaded the Whisperer into their escape vehicle and drove off.
      - After the Ten Men left is when the adults returned.
- - - - The Society members were then loaded up into a van.
      - The Ten Men set a trap and every single one of the Society members fell into it.
    - - It was a coded message that the Ten Men had dropped.
      - They deciphered the code of the message and it left them just enough time to get to the Ten Men's secret meeting place.
    - - By the time the rest of Society got there, the Ten Men were arriving to their secret meeting place and they dropped another coded message.
      - Then the Society stole the message and deciphered that one, too. And Kate once again rushed to the new meeting place of the Ten Men.
  - - - When Constance uses her telepathic abilities, she gets really tired.
      - I think Constance used a picture to communicate with Mr. Benedict and he sent a picture answer back to her.
    - - He dressed up like the delivery person that was supposed to be making his rounds.
      - He had a lot of trouble getting the kids back out.
    - - They determined they were in the Third Island Prison.
      - They determined that because they knew of two prisons on islands. There was one prison to the north and one to the south. They used the sun's position to figure out where they were.
