Explain the concept of genetic code with reference to the sequence of bases in a gene to amino acids in a correct order for a specific protein
It is the sequence of bases in the DNA molecule that decides which amino acids are used & in which order they are joined.
For example:
the triplet of bases stands for one a/a : adenin-thymine-guanine (ATG) specifies for the a/a METHIONINE

Explain how DNA controls cell function by controlling the production of proteins, antibodies and receptors.
-
The nucleotide sequences that make up DNA are a “code” for the cell to make hundreds of different types of proteins; it is these proteins that function to control and regulate cell growth, division, communication with other cells and most other cellular functions. ... This process is called protein synthesis.
In addition, Protein synthesis is the process in which cells make proteins. It occurs in two stages: transcription and translation.
