Brewing Beer - Coggle Diagram
Brewing Beer
11.Pasteurization
-
-
Process
- Store it in a beer tank after being filtered
- Made to run through a heat exchanger where it is brought to a temperature of 60 - 70 degrees
- Made to go through a heat holder (wound piping) that ensures that the beer remains at the pasteurization temperature for a certain amount of time.
- Beer is made to run through a cooler where it is reduced to a temperature of 15 degrees.
- It is then sent for bottling
-
-
-
Process
- Mashout - raise temperature to 78*
-
- Pumping mash into lauter tun
-
-
-
-
4.Boiling
-
-
-
Process
- Boil wort for 60 to 120 minutes*
- Add hops at certain time*
-
5.Wort separation
-
Process
-
- Wort separated from solids via whirlpool
-
-
-
-
-
-
Process
- Grist is mixed with heated water
- Heating occurs to rise temperatures up-to 77 degrees Celsius causing natural enzymes to breakdown starch to sugars
- The grist formed is transferred to a mash tun
-
9.Filtering
Process
- Pump non filtered beer through filter
- Pump filtered beer into carbonation vessel
-
-
-
10.Carbonating
-
Process
- Fill top of tank with CO2
- Begin carbonation of the beer
- Stop carbonation when pressure is approximately 15 Psi
- Start cooling the beer to 8.3 degrees
-
-
-
Process
- The germinated grains are transferred from the malt mill to the roller crusher
- The roller crusher break open the husk of the grains, to create a large surface and to expose the structures that can be degraded enzymatically
- Stored in mash mill/ grain tower prior to being send to mash tun
