Exploratory

Casual
based on the principle of causality which gives emphasis to the relationship between cause and effect

Case study
to investigate a particular problem/issue in detail and intensive within a certain period of time
Survey
To collect information from a particular sample using interview and/or self-report questionnaire
Correlation study
A study of relationship between one or more independent variables (cause) and one or more dependent variables (effect or outcome)
Cross-Sectional Study
divides people into groups
data collected at a single time
findings from data analysis are compared between these group
Longitudinal Study
to continue studies about particular issues that have been done previously
Grounded Theory
developing a theory based on data collected from the field study settings
Action Resarch
integration of research, action and participation which is used to meet social change agenda
Comparative Design
it helps to understand social phenomena by comparing two or more contrasting cases or situations
Experimental Design
to investigate direct relationship between two variables
True experiment
completely control all aspects in an experiment which means who, what, when, where and how an experiment is conducted wholly controlled by researcher
Quasi Experiment
researcher is not able to control all aspects while conducting experiments
Ethnography
used in anthropology, sociology, psychology and education
