Pt medication in ward
Diuretic (furosemide) dose T. furosemide 40mg BD, IV furosemide BD and T.furosemide 40 mg TDS - help lowering BP by depleting body sodium and reducing blood volume. - need to monitor pt diet on sodium.
Bisoprolol off in the ward. Cause bisoprolol in AHF pt is contraindicated as it can give negative ionotropic effect to the pt and according to management of AHF does not stat about beta blocker use in the treatment.
Doxazosin (selective alpha blocker) - use in management of pt hypertension and BPH. Help in reduce pressure by dilating both resistance vessels. Finasteride which 5-alpah dihydrogenase also indicated for pt BPH.
Dabigatran 110mg BD (antiplatelets agent) help in managing pt DVT. to prevent thrombus development. Need closely observe signs of bleeding or anemia.
