TYPES OF DEFINITION
STIPULATIVE
: A term that has been assigned to a term for the first time.
Example 1: Simp
A simple person lacking common sense; a fool or simpleton.
Example 2: Flex

Can variously mean "quiet," "restrained," "moderate," or "easygoing".
PERSUASIVE
: Given to a term in an effort to persuade the reader or listener.
Example 1: Using brochures
Example 2: Use persuasive words for example, guaranteed, limited, etc.
Example 3: Use logos to convince the listeners' or readers' doubts.
LEXICAL
: Terms are defined in the way they are generally used in the language.
Example 1: Nouns
Example 2: Raining cats and dogs
Example 3: Feeling under the weather
OSTENSIVE
: A concrete example of the term.
Example 1: Thats a cat (pointing to a cat near the park)
Example 2: The number two looks like this: 2
Example 3: The clouds are blue (looking at the sky)
PRECISING
: Assigns a precise meaning to a vague term.
Example 1: Book worm
