Summary
After collage he invests in a laundry business and makes enough money to be apart of the wealthy class.
While golfing one day he bumps into Judy and they begin an affair.
One day while working he meets Judy Jones and quits his job so he can follow his dream of being a man that would be fit into Judy's world.
He falls in love with her even though she has many other lovers.
Dexter Green works as a caddie in Black Bear, Minnesota.
He realizes that Judy will never care about him and breaks things off to get engaged to Irene Scheerer
Judy then returns and asks Dexter to marry her, he breaks off his engagement to Irene and starts a new affair with Judy.
This affair only lasts a month and Dexter joins the army as a distraction.
7 years later Dexter is a successful businessman and hears from one of his associates that Judy is married and is not beautiful anymore.
