Orla de Oro: Symbolizes nobility, magnanimity, wealth, power, light, constancy and wisdom.
Star: Image of happiness, greatness, truth, light, majesty and peace.
Gules: It symbolizes the blood spilled by the children of Huila, for the sake of the country and heraldically denotes also strength, victory and highness.
Nevado del Huila: One of the highest Andean peaks, showing four peaks or peaks, a snowy mountain that gives its territory its name.
Sol de Oro: Disc surrounded by 16 rays, half straight half wavy alternately placed.
Silver: Badge of purity, integrity, obedience, firmness, vigilance and eloquence.
Sun: It means truth, unity, clarity, grace, majesty, abundance and wealth.
