The effect of Learner training on the use of digital tools to support English writing skill
Introduction
:Godvin Jones(2016) pointed out basic digital competence is generally assumed now in new students at university, at least in countries like New Zealand where high school graduates are expected to have been using technology as long as they can remember.
Technical sophistication and access to technology have continued to increase so has the expectation that technology will be used as a natural part of teaching and learning by new cohorts of students entering language classroom. The assumption is that these are tech- savvy and digitally literate learners (Lavin, Korte and Davies , 2011)
Tesol, 2008 took basic computer skills in teachers and learners for granted
Learners needed specific training in regards to using these resources as well as the skills required for self-directed learning. In the self-study context, learners are not always successful in shaping their learning experinces and need extensive preparation, ongoing guidance and follow up support to avail of the complete benefits of CALL resources (Reinders, 2006).
Study employs method mixed approach in order to explore the effect of training

Computer, word processors, automatic corrective feedback supports writing skills
Hubbord (2004)described CALL environments as powerful learning environments and argued that learners must be prepared adequately in order to learn in these environments
