The teacher use strategies to help build a welcoming and secure atmosphere for his/her students by greeting students at the door, asking them how to do they feel today? adding a suggestions/concern box for students. Provide opportunity for students to express themselves, and encourage them using motivational phrases.
Build a positive relationship of trust by involves simple teaching practices such as smiling, sharing parts of your life with your students, getting to know your students as individuals, and using yourself as a role model of a reliable and regulated adult (LEA WATERS, 2017).
Putting up positive visuals and quotes can inspire creative thinking and teamwork in your students. Increased natural light or soft lighting can enhance an open, warm, and relaxing environment.

Causes of Abandonment Disorder:
A parent who is emotionally unavailable, childhood neglect due to substance abuse, mental illness, the sudden loss of a parent or caregiver who the child depended on to feel safe and loved, and significant family instability; such as parents who are preoccupied with a difficult divorce or a parent who is only sporadically engaged with the child (Rosewood a Center for Eating Disorders 2018).

How can teachers help?
The teacher will have the students write a journal to talk about the positive things they see in the future.
The teacher can choose a buddy who experiences similar traumatic experiences and has overcome it. This buddy will help mentor the students through this issue and help the student to keep in track.
The student is given a nonfiction text about the adverse effects of drugs, and the students have to connect to the text to self and the world. This will help students to see that drugs are terrible, and nothing good comes out of it.
The teacher works collaboratively with the school counselor to develop activities to help the students build self-esteem and express their emotions.
Educators provide their students with opportunities to share their feelings through art, poetry, & writing.
The teacher needs to provide the child with some structure and stability by ensuring that schedules are followed, and class discipline is maintained at all times (Technology, n.d.).
It is important for teachers to communicate with parents. Provide tools for parents to work with their children at home.
The teachers should use social and emotional learning approach. Use varies activities to help students feel safe and cared for.

How can teachers help?
PLC: Teachers work collaboratively to create an anti-bullying campaign. Also, list strategies to prevent bullying in the classrooms.
Make sure the teacher creates a favorable climate for students to feel safe and secure.
Talk to students about bullying and have students create anti-bullying posters, and they should make it personal.
The teacher can clarify that negative behavior is not accepted in the classroom and that everyone needs to respect people’s points of view.
