To write little notes to yourself in the margins of the reading.

Put an exclamation mark (!) next to things you have a strong reaction to.
Put a question mark (?) next to things that are unclear, for checking.
Highlighting
To use a bright marker to make important passages easy to see.

A quantifier is a word that usually goes before a noun to express the quantity of the object.
Singular count nouns
There is + singular count noun

Plural count nouns
There are + plural count noun

Noncount nouns
