Processes in Qualitative Analysis
Data reduction
Refers to the process of selecting, focusing, simplifying, abstracting, and transforming the data that appear in written up field notes or transcription.
Data display
Second element or level in miles and Huberman (1994) model of qualitative data analysis
Conclusion, Drawing & Verification
Verification integrally linked to conclusion drawing, entails revisiting the data as many times as necessary to cross check or verifies these emergent conclusions
Qualitative Analysis In Perspective
Qualitative mode data analysis provide ways of discerning, examining, comparing and contrasting , and interpreting meaningful patterns or themes :

Thematic analysis
When data is analysed by theme, it is called thematic analysis.
Content analysis
The process is much more mechanical with the analysis being left until the data has been collected
Discourse analysis
These methods look at patterns of speech such as how people talk about particular subject
Judging the quality of qualitative analysis
The qualitative analysis need to be self-aware, honest, and reflective about the analytic process

You need to think about the data from the moment you start to collect the information. :
