The process to collect the data from the questionnaire

Objective of Questionnaire
Research aims & objectives should be formulated before the questionnaire is designed
Important because to provide quantitative data for the purposes of answering the research question involved and testing the research hypothesis
Questionnaire Design
The question must be asked in very simple
No unrealistic demand should be made on the respondents (know how, memory & willingness to respond) :
Everybody should understand the question
Avoid double barrelled question
No escape route in the question
Question should be formulated in polite & soft language
The layout of the questionnaire should look neat & tidy
Re-check the questionnaire & pre-test
Validity and Reliability of Questionaire
-Validity is the ability of an instrument to measure what it is designed to measure.
Reliability will be based on the consistentcy and stabilityof the survey instrument.
Questionnaire Content
Four aspects were considered:
-the ability of the respondent :to answer accurately
the willingness of the respondent to answer accurately :
the impact of external event
-the ability of the question to produce the data required
Questionnaire Piloting
Gives chance to practice administering the test
May bring to light any weaknesses in the procedures of administration
Piloting or pre-test is essential for ensuring that the information offered in the answers exhausts all possibilities
