CHAPTER 10: RESEARCH DESIGN
Research Design
It consist of a plan for conducting research that contains specification of elements to be investigated and procedures to follow. :
Two type of research design: Experimental : design & Non-experimental design.
Experimental design is a design in which the researcher activelly manipulates aspects of setting, and observes the effects of the manipulation on experimental subject. :
Non-experimental design represent a wide range of research design, all commonly used in the social science. :
Case Study
Focus on crucial issue that occurs in single organisation. :
Focus on crucial issues that occurs in single location. :
Focus on crucial issues that occurs in a person.
Survey
Allows you to collect information from a particular sample (using interview or etc…)
Correlation Study
study relationship between one/more independent variable& one/more dependent variable.
Cross-sectional Study
Divide people into different group, data collected at a single from these group, and findings from data analyis are compared between these group.
Longitudinal Study
Used to continue studies about particular issue that have been done previously.
Action Research
an integration research, action and participant which used to meet social change agenda.
