He was originally prooposed as heir by country officcial. Much more competent than Nhat Le. Chosing him as a ruler would help avoid year of internal chaos, but would mean doing against will of mother of deceased emperor
According to sources he was neglectful ruler. He did not fulfil his responsibilities and not long after taking the throne he invited his biological father to the court and took his surname, so his full name became

Nhat Le was not Nguyen Duc's child, but Nhat Le's mother was the wife of the duo singing Duong Khuong (楊 姜). She danced in the show, she was very beautiful, so Nguyen Duc was in love with her, forcing her to leave Duong Khuong and become his wife, but at that time she was pregnant with Le.
After Nhat Le was born, Nguyen Duc admitted to be his own son. # #
