APPLY NLP IN THE CLASSROOM

Auditory Learners

Encourage learners to record information on tape.

Provide opportunities for learners to make up rhymes, chants and jingles about information they need to learn.

Provide opportunities for learners to listen to material recorded on tape or record information onto a tape and listen to it regularly. :recycle:

Give students opportunities to debate topics. They may like to have debating teams or class councils.

Bring in guest speakers who will interest your learners.

Provide a quiet area in your classroom so learners know they can go to this area and not be distracted.

Visual Learners

Use a variety of colours in your presentations

Make your posters and charts in different shapes and sizes.

Encourage learners to use different colours and mediums to write :pen:

Allow your learners to express themselves through different art medium

When giving instructions, write them on the board so that learners can use them as reference.

Use diagrams and pictures to explain concepts and new ideas.

When giving instructions demonstrate what you would like your learners to do so they can see what it is you are asking.

Kinaesthetic Learners

Create activity centres, experiments and projects  -

Encourage participation in finger rhymes and puppet shows.

Encourage learners to do role-plays and drama.

Provide cushions for learners to sit and lie on.

Vary the volume, pitch, tonality and speed of your voice

Allow learners to move while they are working.

Touch a learner when giving instructions as a way of helping them to understand information or touch their belongings :pencil2:
