- Simple adverbs: just, only, well, back, down, pretty, etc.
- Compound adverbs: somehow, somewhere, therefore, whereupon, hereby

- Before Adj or Adv they modify

SENTENCE ADVERBS
- Modify the whole sentence.
- At the beginning of the sentence

FOCUS ADVERBS
- Limit the sense of the sentence, act as an additive
Ex: He even paid for their....
He wanted to do only what was the best for the country.
