Subsistence farming
This farming is basically for the survival of he farmer,and to keep a roof above their heads.

Commercial farming
As the name suggests, it's main aim is trade.

Livestock ranching

This usually take place in grasslands, where cattle,sheep,goats and horses are available, even reindeer in sub-arctic of Siberia.

These ranches are scientifically and technically oriented, and for commercial purpose only.
The best breeds are raised and even vaccinated, for the most high quality outcome.
As backup,rearing animals is sometimes replaced by cultivating crops.

Commercial grain farming

They are practiced on lands which strech upon hundreds of hectares, known as farms.

Various types of modern, high tech equipments are used in this cultivation.
As for moderate amount of rainfall, these farms produce only one crop per year.
