Funding for research endeavors
-Companies such as Google and NASA will likely expand their reach towards advancing research efforts at HBCU's and looking to recruit scholars from these institutions. As is the case currently, NASA will continue grants and funding to programs such as. NCA&T for this advancement
Athletics
STEM Research
-As the climate of Higher Education shifts and student-athletes seek comfort as African American athletes, the number of top tier athletes electing to attend HBCU's will increase
-Former professional player will elect to take their coaching prowess and abilities to HBCU's to advance the appeal and impact on Black college athletics. As seen in recent months and years, more and more former athletes and premier coaches are advancing to these institutions to assist in the appeal and relevance within the sports arena
Improved facilities
As HBCU's improve efforts to recruit and develop athletes within their programs within the 21st Century, a strategic effort and focus towards improving and expanding athletics facilities is inevitable. Also, dietary training and focus towards supplementation and dietary specialists will be added to further advance these programs
Expansion
Philanthropy and donor funding
-With companies such as Netflix and the ever-present and significant United Negro College Fund providing necessary funding, partner institutions will continue seeing an increase in funding towards growth and expansion in the coming century
Increased enrollment, leading to advanced degree offerings
As HBCU's increase enrollment, the likely choice for most to maintain and encourage matriculation for its student body, advanced degrees will be offered in the for of Master's and Doctorate (Ph.D and Ed.D), as well as remote/online degrees
Job Placement
As a result of higher visibility in a society moving towards equity and diversity, companies will begin to improve hiring practices of minorities and seeking HBCU graduates to help advance and stimulate our national (and global) job market
At present, HBCU's are the largest producer of Black engineers, lawyers, doctors and educators, a statistic that is slated to increase dramatically in the 21st Century at the advancement of these instituions
The economical impact of HBCU's is substantial in that the research endeavors and prominence of graduated advacnes many facets of the American economy - science, politics, research and robotics (i.e. Alabama A&M Information Technology Services (ITS) via "telepresence robots) from Double Robotics
Collaboration amongst HBCU's and Ivy League institutions have increased and are projected to improve within the 21st Century. As of 2018, Morgan State University and the Wharton School of Business at the University of Pennsylvania to help establish and build "innovative educational opportunities, spurring academic research" (-MSU President David Wilson)
As enrollment endeavors increase and improve, the focus and shift towards attracting and recruiting international students will garner higher enrollment. In addition, the global HBCU appeal will improve
