Critical Thinking - What have I learnt? What have I found interesting?
Rachel : i have learnt that we should analyse and fact-check more often about the things that we hear
I learnt that we should be more objective often and everyone has different reason to be biased
I found interesting about how we have barriers to not think critically in daily life
muffin
what have I learnt:
It was interesting on learning that stuff we mostly thought was true is not true which means that we should rethink.
one thing I learnt was the actual real news made me feel skeptic if its actually true or not because the title is (I think) kind of exaggerated to gain views
today's work:
being objective is okay, but not all the time since everyone has their own reason
Sarp
What have I learnt
It is interesting
What critical thinking means.
Some exampley
I learned the real illustrator of mickey mouse.
Neal -It was quite interesting that the fact that all these famous stories about Mickey Mouse, light bulbs and Napoleon is all partially true. Not completely
It is interesting that in some situations you can not always be objective
I have learnt that there are many barriers to critical thinking such as obeying a person that has a higher rank on you. At first I thought that there are no boundaries but surprisingly there are!
Masato When you critically think you question if the things you hear or learn are right.
Fake news is out in the world everywhere and it's hard to decide if its real or fake.
I learnt that there are lots of ways in which people are bias and people have different thoughts on why they are bias and how it affects them.
ARTUS What have I learnt:
During this one hour lesson, I understood what critical thinking was. I now know that critical thinking is all about questioning someones information.
I think it is really important not to believe everything to read on the internet.
I have learnt some barriers to critical thinking like: obedience to authority.
AIZA
I found it
interesting
how what I thought I believed before, may have not been the entire truth and just a common conception.
Common knowledge like the apple falling may just be there as a convenient guide to help remember what actually happened.
I
learnt
various definitions and examples of critical thinking which touch on different aspects of the topic. Furthermore I started learning how to be rational about what I believe and maybe do research before I come up with my final conclusion.
I
learnt
how fake news can be something I just make up on the spot. Also sometimes how believable it can be. I imagine it would be quite hard to differentiate between real and fake news.
I found it
interesting
how everyone had completely different ways of how different things stop them from being objective, from religion, to personal experience and emotion.
There are probably countless barriers that prohibit us form thinking critically - however we must try to be objective. While this is true, we also need to do research and use reliable and unbiased sources (Like the point I re-inforced yesterday)
I found it interesting by just watching that video - how simple videos can be so misleading (only putting in clips they want people to see, ones that would change someones mind almost immediately
jennifer
what i have learnt
- the definition of critical thinking, we need to analyse/ criticise information and not just believe everything we hear/see
what i found interesting
- to know that many things many people have believed for a long time were not always true
i have learnt that many things stop me from being completely objective.
I have learnt that there are many barriers to critical thinking that you have to overcome
Justini found out that many things that i consider to be truths were actually a lies
the truth is not what you think it is you have to check it and never take anything for granted
i found out that the things which can stop me from thinking critically
Stephen I have learnt that critical thinking is a very useful and important device to use in everyday life
-
