Life on the twenhieth century was a new era with a lot of changes, starting with the fast transportation of the people from one place to other, and others many things like telephones, radios, widespread availability with books, newspaper and magazines. The Lost Generation: This Era starts in the time of the World War II. Thanks the Spanish-American War and the opening of Panama Canal brought immigrants new ideas and ways of life. Artist learned from one to other, also travelers came to America to spread modernist message. The World War I had a profound effect on optimism that makes this Era proceeded. This movement born after the tragig failure of old ideas, in that time the necessity of a change was deep, In this time treaty of Versailles in America end it, America does not join the League of Nation,America return in the Isolation. Modernist Literature: when we talk about Modernist Literature we are saying that all the old ways to see things does not work. ¨Make it New¨ was the phrase of the time. This was the cry of some authors because they have to make new and differents thing. Modern Literature is often fragmentary, not only reflecting ¨stream of consciousness¨ Modernist perception of the twentieth as a jumble of conflicting ideas. a fragment is what it is , and sometimes they just use just a fragment to present but it not explain. Modernism make audience draw and make their own concluisons. Modernism shows rather than tells, imagist poetry.
