Content Analysis: This analysis is only conceptual and will be changed according to discussion with supervisors and research partner. The aim of this critical, comparative study is to identify inconsistencies and conflicts between current teaching standards and the use of Learning Management Systems (LMS). The research will focus on one type of LMS, Google for Education as it is the most widely used. Firstly, as they are both teachers using this LMS, the researchers will conduct bracketing to identify any limitations and/or biases to ensure reflexivity is maintained throughout the study. Secondly, a content analysis of international teaching standards will identify mutual teaching standards common to participants in their respective countries. These can then be described collectively and used for interview questions. Thirdly, using non-probability sampling, purposeful sampling will identify participants who meet the criteria for data collection (i.e. works in post-primary school, uses Google for Education). Fourthly, through interviews, data will be collected identifying the perspectives of teachers’ and teacher leaders’ use of Google for Education in contrast to the standards they must adhere to and possible liabilities they may incur. A content analysis of these perspectives will then be created and compared to an additional content analysis of the existing policy documentation. This policy documentation will consist of GDPR, Google for Education privacy policies, governmental guidance the previous teaching standard analysis.
