- ADH targets kidney tubules and smooth muscles
- Oxytocin targets the uterine wall and mammary glands in woman and the smooth muscle contraction for males

Anterior Pituitary
- ACTH stimulates the adrenal cortex to produce and secrete its own hormones
- FSH and LH acts on gonads to stimulate development of gametes and release hormones
- GH: stimulates cell growth as well as cell division and affects most body cells
- MSH: acts on melanocytes in the epidermis to stimulate melanin synthesis
- PRL: acts on mammary glands to stimulate milk production
- TSH: stimulates thyroid gland to release thyroid hormones
- ACTH targets the Adrenal Gland
- FSH and LH targets the testes in males and and ovaries in females
