  - - - Allow the students to develop or write a story of their own that is about a character who lives where the book takes place, Allow the students to rewrite the story with a few changes they choose to make
        
        Students can evaluate whether a decision the main character of the story had made is a good decision or a bad decision. They can have a debate as they support their points and critique each other based on the supporting points

        Students can rewrite the story in their own words, using easier and simpler expressions and sentences
        
        Use flashcards or visuals to help students classify what happens at the beginning, middle, and end of the story. They can also use these to recollect the story in timely order.
        
        Review the vocabulary in the story to improve students' understanding
      - Prepare some visuals (pictures or videos) to help students understand the directions or the story plot
        
        Prepare a simpler, shorter version of the story if needed
