ing form patterns
- we use ing after:
1) determiners: the, this
2) possessives: Peter’s;
3) possessive adjectives: his;
4) object pronouns: him; before -ing forms (common in informal Eng)
5) verbs of senses + object (pronoun)
6) the + ing + of + object

7) adjective + preposition
- All this complaining won’t get you anywhere, you know.

- Exorbitant tax rates led to his leaving the country.
