Vision For Blacks in Higher Education in the 21st Century
Increased Funding for HBCUs
In future I foresee the need for increased federal and state funding for HBCU's. Funding would assist with the following:
Increased STEM Funding
Improvements Library and Academic Resources
Maintain their regional accreditation
Staffing and campus infrastructure
Increased Student Aid
Lack of funding has forced college administrators to find innovative policies and strategies to support college functions.
So to these creative solutions include alumni & cooperation donations, endowments, and grants.
Funding cannot rely solely on contributions. It has been suggested by law and policy makers that funding should be given to a institution's foundation to help boost fundraising efforts.
Increasing Program Partnerships
Partnership programs between PWI's and HBCU's can be extremely equitable .
