Slide Content
Should only include ESSENTIAL information
5x5 rule- 5 bullets, with 5 words at the maximum text on your slide
Information should be written clearly
No Paragraphs
Use simple phrases
Use the bullets provided
The slide title should not be repeated in the bullet text
Limit the number of slides; most should be 10-12 and run about 15 minutes
Slide Design and Layout
Consistent design, font, and color scheme throughout
Layouts should chosen to best present the materials
Images should directly relate to the information presented
Consider if the information needs to be viewed in a particular order
Transitions and animations should be
limited
to avoid confusion or distraction
Tables and graphs should be simple and easy to read as you explain the data
Avoid decorating! Images and sounds should only be used to highlight the relevant information
Use font size 18pt or larger
