KISAN CREDIT CARD, AGRICULTURE - Coggle Diagram

- - - - • All farmers-individuals/Joint borrowers who are owner cultivators.
      - • Tenant farmers, oral lessees and Share Croppers etc.
      - • SHGs or Joint Liability Groups of farmers including tenant farmers, share croppers etc.,
      - The criterion for eligible beneficiaries under Kisan Credit Card (KCC) for Animal Husbandry and Fisheries is as follows
        
        • Inland Fisheries and Aquaculture – a) Fishers, Fish Farmers (individual & groups/partners/share croppers/ tenant farmers), Self Help Groups, Joint Liability Groups and Woman groups; and b) The beneficiaries must own or lease any of the fisheries related activities such as pond, tank, open water bodies, raceway, hatchery, rearing unit, possess necessary license for fish farming and fishing related activities, and any other State specific fisheries and allied activities.
        
        • Marine Fisheries – Beneficiaries as listed above who own or lease registered fishing vessel, boat, possess necessary fishing license/permission for fishing in estuary and sea, fish farming/ mariculture activities in estuaries and open sea and any other State specific fisheries and allied activities.
        
        • Poultry and small ruminant – Farmers, poultry farmers either individuals or joint borrower, Joint Liability Groups or Self Help Groups including tenant farmers of sheep/goats/pigs/poultry/birds/rabbit and having owned/rented/leased sheds.
        
        • Dairy – Farmers and Dairy farmers either individuals or joint borrower, Joint Liability Groups or Self Help Groups including tenant farmers having owned/rented/leased sheds.
        
        KISAN CREDIT CARD (KCC)
        
        • It was launched in 1998 with anaim of providing shortterm formal credit to farmers.
        
        • RRBs, Cooperative Banks and Public Sector Commercial Banks have implemented the Kisan Credit Card scheme in India.
        
        • All farmers who are eligible for the Kisan Credit Card will be issued a smart card cum debit card in addition to the Kisan Credit Card.
        
        • Kisan Credit Card is valid for 5 years subject to annual review.
        
        • Limit to be fixed on the basis of operational land holding, cropping pattern and scale of finance.
        
        The basic features associated with the card are mentioned below
        
        • Credit to meet the financial requirements of agricultural and other allied activities.
        
        • Ancillary credit for crop production and other contingencies.
        
        • Investment credit for agricultural requirements such as dairy animals, pump sets etc.
        
        • Produce marketing loans.
        
        • Post-harvest expenses.
        
        • Insurance coverage for Kisan Credit Card holders, including asset insurance and personal accident insurance scheme (PAIS).
