How do they all connect?
There are two main global contexts in these four topics. They are Globalization and Sustainability and Scientific and Technical innovation. All four topic link but because of these global contexts some topics link with others more. For example, the topic "The Atmosphere" and the topic "Sustainability" are both very similar and link to each other. They both cover how human interaction and activities can affect our environment on Earth. Although they are very similar there evidently have to be differences. The topic "The Atmosphere" talks more about how we as humans have caused our Earth to warm very quickly and it talks about the scientific reasoning behind it. Meanwhile, the topic "Sustainability" talks more about what we can do to fix our mistakes. It goes on to talk about water usage and recycling.
The other two topics also link. These are the topics "The Nature of Matter" and "Metals." Both these topics talk about atoms and the periodic table. Compared to the "Sustainability" and "The Atmosphere" these topics go more in-depth into the scientific reasonings and less about our environment and how we can achieve a clean earth. Once again these topics will have differences. The topic "Metals" talks about what the title states. It looks into patterns, the properties of metals and how they affect the reactivity of said metal. Instead, The topic "The Nature of Matter" talks about the interaction between atoms and their differences. It looks into sub-atomic particles and changes of state.
