pseudomembranous candidiasis -presents with patches of curd-like, white or yellowish plaques that can occur anywhere in the mouth, especially the cheeks, gums, palate, and tongue. These are easily removed, revealing an underlying red base that is not usually painful.
Symptoms: burning and itching sensation
Chronic forms may involve the oesophageal mucosa, leading to dysphagia and chest pains.
