Week 5 Discussion Board: Reflection and Final Questions
I may not be the best at writing essays, but I feel as though in this course I have improved in many ways. I have improved of different types of essays and wording them if different ways.
An essay that calls for argumentative points can seem very interesting. You can learn a lot from reading or writing an argumentative essay. Creating strong views helps you with your communication skills and it also helps you on creating a letter of a complaint .
Learning how to create strong essays will help you in life, in and out of school.
Normally I would have never cared to see the side of the other person's point of view. I never cared for their point and found it pointless, silly me! Needless to say, I know better now. For you to understand the argument better, you must take the time to see where their coming from and then respond with positive feedback.
A couple of things I have learned in this course is how to create argumentative points and seeing the point of view from the other side.
What I liked most about the course was how it taught the class how to be better writers.
It taught new writers the basic knowledge and
Like most classes, it was helpful how each week was its own learning section
The number one barrier/struggle I encountered when writing essays was starting off my introduction.
My main struggles come from coming up with at least three major details and follow up with a couple of minor details.
I tend to over think my work with causes me to procrastinate.
I have to learn that everything does not have to be perfect, as long as it meets the guidelines.
I have found helpful learning websites such as coogleIt and mind maps that help you outline your discussion points.
Typically you can find the thesis at the end, but I still struggle with placing it there.
If I could change one thing about the course structure, it would be to have zoom meetings with my Professors and classmates.
Sometimes it can be hard to understand a certain lesson and with the help of zoom, we are able to get questions answered quickly. Some things on the syllabus may not make since but have frequent video chats would help tremendously.
Having zoom meetings help students understand lessons more, less emailing, and we get to meet one another.
It would be nice to be able to see one another, and at least say through video chat. Maybe one day we can meet each other in a future class.
If we had zoom meetings, we would not have to email our Professors about every little thing. I am sure they get tired of answering the same questions over again.
Providing zoom meets for students can help them save their grades. It would also save time and cause less stress.
