Hypertext- a code package that allows user to create webpages.
Markup- Marking up of a section of text or graphics so that formatting can be applied to it.
Language- mode of communication between the webpages.
Initially, it was known as GML.

Performance of a Website
Browser Compatibility- If a majority of the browsers don't recognize the tags/attributes we have used, then the page might not come in the way we wanted it to.
Page Loading Time- Page loading time is the duration between clicking the link and displaying the entire content from the web server.
