Why evaluation?
"On daily basis, we as teachers evaluate the materials that we teach, but this type of evaluation is not sufficient. If our purpose is to maximise learning, then we must conduct systematic evaluations" (Brown 1995, Ellis 1997, Richards 2001)
Evaluation is a 'matching process; matching needs to available solutions (Hutchinson&Waters 1987)
Stage 2: internal
Teacher can progress to the 2stage, which consist of an in-depth analysis of the materials.
Stage 1: external
Teacher obtain a general idea regarding the materials
Teacher decide whether the materials conform to his expectations
Teacher scan a book
The intended Audience and context
Needs of students:

The course will occur at King Faisal University for 4weeks, 20hours per week
