Formative
Formative assessments are a wide variety of methods that teachers use to conduct in-process evaluations of student comprehension, learning needs, and academic progress during a lesson, the unit, or course. These assessments help determine the pace and redirect of a lesson.

Interim/Benchmark
Interim/Benchmark are tests conducted at different intervals during the school year to check students' understanding on content and guide future instruction.
