Definition: This type of assessment refers to the teacher assessing the students understanding using low stakes assessments that help them provide feedback and make modifications and adjustments based on the data retrieved.
Interim/Benchmark
9 Weeks assessment: Students take assessment that mimics STARR exam at the end of each 9 weeks that test their understanding of content taught during that 9 weeks.
STARR 360:Students take online assessments with STARR like questions and are graded based on their knowledge of the content.
Definition: This assessment type speaks to students taking mock assessments that measure students' understanding. these assessments are usually given periodically throughout the year.
Summative
Definition: This type of assessment refers to evaluate the students understanding of the content at the end of the unit. The assessment are high stakes and have a high grade value.
End of year Exams: Students take an exam at the end of the year that measures their understanding of the content taught on their grade level.
Final Project: Students are expected to present final project based on the information learned during that semester.
