Assessments
Formative: A formative assessment is based on a evidence of student learning. It provides feedback for the teacher so that adjustments on instruction can be applied.
One-Pager: A one-pager is a way of providing the teacher with an idea of what was learned or information retained during the content lesson.
Group Work: Group work is when students work together to apply understanding. It is a way for teachers to understand the knowledge processed by each student.

Performance
Definition: A performance assessment has to do with completing a number of tasks instead of answering questions.
Debate: Debates are a performance based activity that gives students different perspectives and it is associated with research, media and argument literacy, reading comprehension, evidence evaluation, public speaking, and civic skills.
Projects: Projects allow the students to apply knowledge gained and present it in a form of research papers to artistic representations of information learned.
Interim/Benchmark:
Definition: Interim/Benchmark are put into place to assess student progress in content standards. They can be given anywhere from a monthly test to a quarterly test.

Diagnostic:
Definition: Diagnostic is a form of pre-assessment that measures prior knowledge. It allows the teacher to assess the students so that lesson is formulated to fit student knowledge.
KWL Chart: A concept map is to assess students prior, in the middle, and after knowledge of the students. Students can look at it throughout the year.
Concept Map: Student fills out linking words and ties the lesson together in the end. They can refer to this throughout the year.
