Performance
Definition: A performance assessment measures students ability to apply the skills and knowledge learned.
Projects: It requires students to apply their knowledge and skills while completing the assigned task.
Portfolios: A collection of their work that shows how they have performed and progressed from the beginning to the end.
Diagnostic
Definition: Diagnostic assessments are used to pre-assess and determine their skills and misconceptions.
KWL Chart: Students get to build on their prior knowledge and connect to their new learning. It consists of writing what they know, what they want to know, what they learned from the instruction.

Definition: Formative assessment refers to the ongoing process that documents the students learning of intructrution.
