Points
Point : A point is named by using CAPITAL LETTERS A, B, C, etc. as shown in
the figure.

Concurrent lines:
Three or more lines meet at a point are called as concurrent lines. The point at
which lines meet is called point of concurrence.
Angle

An angle is named as ∠ABC or ∠ CBA, keeping the vertex B in the

Adjacent vertices: Two vertices of a polygon which are end points of
the same side are called adjacent vertices.
Diagonals: The line segment joining two non-adjacent vertices of a
polygon is called the diagonals of a polygon.
-
Two sides of a □ are called opposite sides, if
they do not have a common vertex.
-
CIRCLES
Chord of a circle: A line segment joining any two points on a circle
is called a chord of the circle.
-
-
Sector: A region in the interior of a circle enclosed by an arc on one side and a pair of radii on the other two sidesis called a sector
The sector containing the minor arc is called minor sector.
And the sector containing the major arc is called major sector
Segment: A region in the interior of a circle enclosed
by a chord and an arc is called a segment of the circle.
-
Circumference:
-
forms the circle, is called the circumference
-
A circle is a closed curve drawn in such a way that each point of the
curve is at same distance from a fixed point.
-
-
Radius: The line segment joining the centre and any
point on the circle is called radius of the circle.
