Diagnostic
Definition: A diagnostic test is an examination to identify an individuals specific areas of weakness and strength. Teachers often use information from a diagnostic test to guide their instruction.
Pre assessment: The student will take a pre assessment about the solar system to see what they already know.
KWL: The student will complete the KWL graphic organizer to find out what they know, what they want to know and what they learned about our solar system.
Performance
Definition: A performance assessment will require for students to complete a task. It is intended to determine the responsiveness, throughput, reliability, and/or scalability of a system under a given workload.

Fromative
Definition: A formative assessment is an assessment done during the instruction process for the purpose of improving teaching or leaning.

STAAR Test: The Texas standardized test given to assess students knowledge /achievement in math and reading.
