PERFECT CONTINUOUS TENSES
Past perfect continuous
AFIRMATIVE FORM
Subject + simple past of the verb to have (had) + past perfect of the verb to be (been) + main verb with –ing + complement
Example: Julia had been studying english for five weeks
NEGATIVE FORM
adding "not" after the auxiliary verb to have: Subject + simple past of the verb to have (had) + not + past perfect of the verb to be (been) + main verb with –ing + complement.
Example: Julia had not been studying english for five weeks.)
INTERROGATIVE FORM
Example: Had Julia been studying english for five weeks?
Simple past of the verb to have (had) + subject + past perfect of the verb to be (been) + main verb with –ing + complement
Future Perfect Continuous
Is a tense used to indicate the continuation of actions that will be completed at a certain time in the future.
AFIRMATIVE FORM
Subject + will + have been + verb ending in –ing
Example: She will have been studying for her test for two hours by the time we arrive.
NEGATIVE FORM
Subject + will + not + have been + verb ending in –ing
Example: She will not have been studying for her test for two hours by the time we arrive.
INTERROGATIVE FORM
Will + subject + have been + verb ending in –ing
Example: Will she have been studying for her test for two hours by the time we arrive?
Present Perfect continuous
AFIRMATIVE
Ex: she has been dancing the whole night
Subject + has/have + been + present participle.
NEGATIVE
Are made with not. Subject + has not (hasn´t)/have not (haven´t) + been + present participle
Ex: They haven´t been spying on us for a week.
INTERROGATIVE
change the subject with has/have.
Has/ have + subject + been + present participle
Example: Have you been reading for two hours?

Ex: I was playing basketball
