Grammar Tenses - Coggle Diagram

- - - - He has been partying all night
  - - - has/have + Subject + been + present participle
        
        EX: have you been reading all night long?
  - - - Subject + has not (hasn´t)/have not (haven´t) + been + present participle
        
        They haven't been delivering their homework
- - - - Simple Past tense
        
        Describe a completed activitie that ocurried in the past (started and ended)
        
        If the verb is not regular you only add "-ed" at the end of the phrase
        
        Examples
        
        Carly poked charlie so much that she left
        
        Charlie closed the door after leaving
      - Simple past tense (To ask questions)
        
        To ask a question you use
        
        Did+[subject]+[root form of verb]
        
        Examples
        
        Was wolfgang in a good mood after the contest?
        
        Did charlie leave the room?
        
        Were Charlie and Carly made up after all?
        
        Or even Was/Were+[subject]
    - - Did not + [root form of the verb]
        
        Examples
        
        The third-place winner was not happy as Wolfgang
        
        Wolfgang did not brag too much about his hula hoop skills
      - Were not/weren't + [root form of the verb]
  - - - Describe schedules
        
        Almost always in the basic form, you add "-S" to the base form
        
        When in the third person singular, when it ends with "-ES" instead of "-S"
        
        These are verbs whose root form ends in "-o";"-ch";"-sh";"-th";"-ss; "-gh" or "-z"
        
        Examples
        
        Abaccio's stand replays his darkest moments
        
        Katherine goes to the library once a week
      - To tell jokes

        Do not + [base form of the verb]
        
        "Does not" when it's a third person singular

        Jen is not going to quit before she reaches her goal
