The trash challenge
A group of students had been learning about the environment
That´s why
They were interested in taking care of the planet: reducing and recycling
So they started thinking about how could they help with solving this popular and massive problem
The students were considering many options like
Helping a charity to take care of plants and animals that were in danger of extinction
Pick up the big National Park´s trash
Creating a campaing to clean the oceans
which
could save the whales
which
was the selected idea
was close to their location, more possible and also easier to do
National Park
It´s a place where
People used to go fishing and rock climbing on weekends
that´s why
On mondays it was full of plastic cups, bags and empty cans
The students asked for permission to go there in a field trip and clean it
They took pictures before and after the garbage had disappeard
The challenge went viral and invited students from around the world to do the same and post their own videos.
