DEFINITE ARTICLE
"The", Used to refer to something aforementioned or something specific. The is the only definite article used both for plural and singular.

INDEFINITE ATICLE
"a" or "an", used to refer to something non specific or not identifiable to the listener. Also used if making a statement or mentioning something for the first time. "a" is used before words that begin with consonant sound, even if spelled with a vowel (for an example a eulogy) and opposite for "an" (an hour)
