The originally distributed databases store the information in a centralized way, but with the passage of time the needs increased and this produced certain disadvantages that it was not possible to solve or make them efficient in a centralized way.
These problems drove the creation of distributed storage, which nowadays provide essential characteristics in information management; that is, the combination of communication networks and databases.
