DRAMETIC IRONY : occurs when a character acts without knowing an important piece of information .
stanging and characters : actors increase the impact of a play by creating living, breathing people from the playwrights words
exposition : introduces the main characters and establishes the setting
conflict : its the problem
rising action : complicates the conflict
climax : the highest impact of the conflict
falling action : grows logically from the climax
resolution : concludes the story
dialogue : is the conversation exchanged by a character in a play
stanging and setting : standing scenery , lightning , costumes and acting brings vivid life in front of an audience . setting: is the time and place in which the story drama happens .
stanging and theme : people knew dramas only from seeing them performed live on a stage , stanging can highlight the play important development and themes
TRAGEDY: play that presents the eventual downfall of a great and worthy figure
puns : jokes based on words with several meanings , or on words that sound alike but have different meanings
