On a hunting expedition with a group of other white men and what that implies. A father capable of anything to defend his half-breed son and tries to survive.
Diferences
The movie follows basically the same plot as the book, but with one major difference. In the movie, Glass has a son, and in the book he didn't have a son or a wife. The whole story of “The Revenant” is supposed to be about revenge, and to survive. So this changed the whole mood of the movie.

The main idea
This movie is about a trapper called Hugh Glass who had lost his wife and the only thing that he would look forward to was his only son. He tries to survive in the forest after being attack by a bear and he looks to get revenge on his crew who abandoned him.
